Icy River in Winnipeg

I hope the virus will disappear as quickly as the ice and snow, and let our lives return to normal.

This April is very special. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, most of the shops and schools are closed. We can’t go to Heartland to study English, but fortunately we can have online classes.  We can’t go where there are many people and we must keep a social distance from other people. I think it’s necessary to contain the outbreak. So everyday after my online class, I just walk by the river with my family in the community. There are few people here so we can breathe in the fresh air and feel the sun on our faces. It’s the most relaxing time of day. The weather is getting warmer these days and the snow is beginning to melt. We were excited to see a lot of ice floating away with the river, and it was the first time we had seen this. I hope the virus will disappear as quickly as the ice and snow, and let our lives return to normal.
