When I first came to this city, I was hooked on its quiet and peaceful environment. Winnipeg, the capital city in Manitoba, is located in the middle of Canada. It is not a city with a lot of hustle and bustle. There is no big population or famous business here. But just such a city intrigues me. When I go out, I can breathe the fresh air and appreciate the stunning plain natural landscape. The sunshine is beautiful and the sky is pristine. I can see birds flying in the sky freely and geese swimming in the pond happily.
I often heard people say “Friendly Manitoba”. People here are friendly. They are ready to help if we have some problems. Drivers here are friendly. They always give the right of way to you if necessary. I have made a lot of friends who come from all over the world here, which makes me have a deeper understanding of various traditions and cultures. I have improved my English a lot here in Heartland, where I meet with a knowledgeable teacher and many collaborative classmates. It is really an amazing city for me. I love this city and hope that it continues to thrive in the future.
