“…within the work we always chat about the life and how hard it sometimes can be. But with every handful of soil, you also bury a handful of stress.”
In the beginning of spring, there is this special smell in the air when you go outside. The birds are whistling, the grass is turning green again and the first few warm sunrays touches your skin and gives you this warm and cozy feeling.
This is always the moment when I get the mood to plant flowers in my big backyard at home. Especially, after a hard week at work I love to spend some hours in the garden-center with my mom choosing different kinds of flowers. You’re directly taken to another world when you enter it. Thousands of colorful flowers and plants you can explore and the bustling people around you don’t even stress you out at all. In addition, there is this good smell in the air of freshness and new life and all the people in there are as happy as you.
After we get everything, we go back to my apartment and start with the real work. Throw away the old, pale looking and died plants and prepare all the stuff to plant some happiness. It’s not always easy but while working with your hands you really feel how you have created something which is just for you. And within the work we always chat about the life and how hard it sometimes can be. But with every handful of soil, you also bury a handful of stress. Being on your knees, feeling the sun on your back and having the hands deep inside a pot full of soil has something meditative and gives you this inner peace and calmness.
