When I was eighteen, I found that I had cancer. The day I was diagnosed was also the day of receiving the examination result of university, AND I failed. For someone who got such two bad notifications like me, it was the worst day ever.
Fortunately, I ended up going to my second-choice university, and took a year off from university soon. I was hospitalized for half a year in and out of hospital, and I received cancer treatments.
After I had the treatment, I found that this trial changed my way of thinking. Before I got hospitalized, I was too shy to make friends and didn’t have confidence, but now I love to communicate with new friends. That’s because the experience of overcoming the difficulties made me more confident.
My case rarely happens to anyone, so I don’t know how others will get inspired, but one thing I can say for sure is that Heartland is the best place for a person who desires to improve themselves, especially, someone who hopes to make different friends and improve their English skills!
Thank you for your sharing. I am worried that I lack creative ideas. It is your article that makes me full of hope. Thank you. But, I have a question, can you help me?
